PRODUCTION CAST MANAGER FOR CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE - 2016 to date

Responsible for managing the Production Cast and maintaining the shows; choreographically and aesthetically. Manager to the Dance/Vocal Captain, Seamstress, Puppet Captain and Magic Show Dance Captain ensuring they execute their job responsibilities correctly. Scheduled and trained all team members in their daily entertainment activities. Performed shows as a Dancer-Singer on an assigned vessel while embracing the Carnival Service Values. Advised and counselled all cast members as needed. Supported their well-being and morale while being the liaison between the Department Head, Hotel Director and Shore Side Management to communicate clearly all necessary information to the cast. Documented all pertinent information in the Dance Assistant Report. Conducted assessments, evaluations and appraisals on cast members throughout their contract, as well as written compulsory contract reviews.

ENTERTAINMENT PROJECT MANAGER

2023

Makeup artist for featured guest experience project “Festival Italiana” onboard the Carnival VENEZIA. Researched and developed inclusive looks. Reduced budget, increased efficiency and produced cost effective achievable makeup designs. Created content in the forms of video and photography to be used as teaching guides.

Worked along side the Creative Development Team onboard Carnival Cruise Line’s newest flagship the Carnival CELEBRATION to choreograph and install an extension to featured guest experience “Evolution”.

Makeup artist for production show, “Color My World” (Original concept and design). Created reference material and teaching guides for Production shows, “Color My World and “Most Magnificent Circus”.

2022

Worked along side the Creative Development Team onboard Carnival Cruise Line’s newest flagship Carnival MARDI GRAS. Supported the creation and management of onboard creative assets. Created onboarding documentation and references for the future training of featured musicians. Shadowed British Stage Director & Choreographer, Paul Roberts as he developed his eight cast rendition of, “Celestial Strings”. Provided assistance to Mark Jennings (British Creative Director, Choreographer and Show Producer) and Layla Ellison (British Creative and Assistant Choreographer). Provided professional education and training in support of Carnival Entertainment requirements to prepare Fleet Cast Managers to develop and conduct a cast change onboard the Carnival PANORAMA. Combined creative and technical expertise to provide personalised in-studio makeup workshops and DEI educational guides for a broad range of performers. Created content in the forms of video and photography for social media as well as various other creative development projects.

SHOW SUPERVISOR

2022

Created and maintained a production schedule for each show onboard the Carnival PANORAMA. Organised additional meetings for cast and entertainment staff. Worked closely with the Entertainment Director and other department managers to make decisions regarding all aspects of a production, ensuring they were within the requirements of safety policies. Communicated with management, trainers and team members to ensure that all needs were met. Conducted orientation and on-the-job trainings for new hires and new management positions. Provided professional education and training in support of Carnival Entertainment requirements. Prepared a new Cast Manager on how to develop and conduct a team onboard the Carnival PANORAMA. Established all five production shows complete with technical aspects, costume, hair, makeup and live vocals.

2022-2023

PRODUCTION CAST MANAGER - Inaugural Team

Managed and established the Carnival Celebration Production shows for CCL Entertainment. Apart of the inaugural and maiden voyage start up team. Conceived, developed and guided entertainment productions and onboard Entertainment experiences. Lead the creative development and management of the Playlist Production shows and guest experience actives. Created onboarding resources for future incoming management and production staff.

CONTENT CREATOR CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE – ENTERTAINMENT

Created entertaining and educational material that was expressed through different mediums. Produced Social Media Content for Carnival Cruise Line- Entertainment. Produced DEI educational reference material. Created visual aids and documentation to be used as a tool for Carnival Studios. Aids that I produced were used by shipboard and shoreside supervisors to train incoming talent correctly and appropriately. Conceived and produced “Day in the life”, video reels for Shipboard, Studio, and Managerial positions. Used for employee onboarding in the Entertainment department at Carnival Cruise Lines. Edited and produced demo videos for “Color My World” - Directed and Choreographed by Marcos Santa. Content was used as a demo reel for senior management and incoming production teams within Carnival Cruise Lines. Created of several recruitment video demos and posters used for recruiting new shoreside supervisors and shipboard talent at Carnival Cruise Lines.

TEACHER AND COACHING

Motivational speaker for various professional colleges and public dance schools in the UK. Held online and in person workshops in dance choreography, Stage makeup 101 and Cruise Industry insights/sustainability. Created age appropriate personalised teaching booklets for each workshop.  (Northern Ballet School, Center Pointe Vocational Performing Arts College, Nicola Moorhead School of Dance, MM Jazz Company).

Part of the design and account management team for a marketing services agency. Developed and supported the US launch of Morgan’s (www.hellomorgan.com) marketing campaign. This campaign was inspired by dance and our work was recently featured in the Super Bowl. Other projects included web design, campaign budget, client interactions, and time and action planning.
